CLIMATE .HISTORY AND CULTURE OF DUBAI:
Dubai, also spelled Dubayy, city and capital of the emirate of Dubai, one of the wealthiest of the seven emirates that constitute the federation of the United Arab Emirates, which was created in 1971 following independence from Great Britain. There are several theories about the origin of the name Dubai. One associates it with the daba—a type of locust that infests the area—while another holds that it refers to a market that existed near the city. In recent years Dubai has been compared to Singapore and Hong Kong and is often regarded as the Middle East’s premier entrepôt. Area 13.5 square miles (35 square km). Pop. (2016 est.) 2,645,581.
Like much of the Persian Gulf coastline, Dubai has a year-round hot climate. Humidity is high in the summer months and moderate the rest of the year. The coldest winter month is usually January, with lows of about 15 °C (49 °F), while the hottest summer month is July, with highs of more than 40 °C (104 °F).This also becomes a reason ,why people like closed and fully air conditioned places there, not open Bazaars ,like near Gold Sukh [It is a place in Bur Dubai , from where we can buy gold with a tones of varieties , designs and companies , basically a gold market. Here you can have gold at cheap rates but their making charges , approximately equalizes it. (https://images.app.goo.gl/8JrQN6sKSrNdFTDa6) ].

Dubai straddles a natural inlet called Dubai Creek on the southern shores of the Persian Gulf. For more than a century, the area was Dubai’s centre, because of the early city’s reliance on fishing, pearl diving, and maritime trade. Lining the creek are the oldest buildings in Dubai, most of which date from the 1960's and are rarely more than two stories in height. In the Bastakiyyah quarter, on the western shore of the creek, some much older buildings have been restored, and many of these feature the distinctive wind tower design that was imported by Persian merchants early in the 20th century. The new city centre is a string of skyscrapers lining Sheikh Zayed Road. Notable among these are the Emirates Towers, which were built in the late 1990's and early 2000's and which house a hotel and government offices. Close to Sheikh Zayed Road is the Dubai International Financial Centre, housed in a futuristic arch-shaped building, and the Burj Khalifa, which at the time of its official opening in 2010 was the world’s tallest building; it was named after the president of the United Arab Emirates and emir of Abu Dhabi, Khalīfah ibn Zāyid al-Nahyān. To the west of the skyscrapers lie several affluent suburbs, most of which house substantial villas. On their periphery lies the Burj al-ʿArab, a giant sail-shaped tower which is home to a luxury hotel. Farther west are new clusters of skyscrapers surrounding a man-made marina and several man-made lakes.
Cultural Life:
In the early 21st century, Dubai’s art and film industries blossomed, with the annual Art Dubai fair showcasing contemporary art and the Dubai International Film Festival promoting both local and international movies. The Dubai Museum, housed in an 18th-century fortress, displays artifacts and exhibits related to the area’s early history and traditional culture. Dubai’s public library system has several branches throughout the city, and there are a number of bookshops in the city’s shopping malls.
Dubai is home to a large number of international sporting events. These have greatly boosted its status as a tourist destination. The Dubai World Cup is the world’s most lucrative horse race, and the city’s Dubai Desert Classic is a popular fixture on the European Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) Tour.
The city’s media industry remains firmly divided between government-backed television and newspapers, most of which are heavily censored, and the foreign media companies that operate branch offices from the Dubai Media City, a purpose-built complex that serves as an international media hub for the region. The latter include the BBC and the Associated Press, and their output does not have to conform to local restrictions.
It's History:
The future of Dubai:
Though Dubai moved away from traditional trading and looked to its natural resources for sustenance in the latter half of the 20th century, revenue from oil was soon complemented and later almost replaced with a knowledge-based and services driven economy.
The inspirational and innovative businesses which establish themselves in Dubai are supported by the Emirate’s overwhelming ambition to drive technology, pioneer new innovation and foster thought leadership.
World class leaders in trade, logistics, financial services, hospitality and tourism, real estate, construction and manufacturing now make up over 90% of business activity in the Emirate.
This diversification, along with its strategic location, world class infrastructure and ease of business philosophy make it the natural choice for local and international organisations to either begin operations or expand into the Middle East.
Although its meteoric rise may have been swift, Dubai is well established as the Middle East’s prime destination for the regional headquarters of multinational corporations. Its global reputation as a wealth generator and investment stronghold continues to drive the city’s growth and attract both worldwide corporations and international SMEs.
Dubai is enjoying the most luxurious place on the earth but how would Dubai look like in the future? Well, it is harder to expect anything for the city which has done marvelous development for the last 4 decades. This allows me to imagine a city of dreams, Dubai is prominent in the world due to its iconic symbols like the tallest Burj al Khalifa, Burj al Arab, the palm island and Dubai Aquarium, Dubai will also surprise the world in the future by its futuristic approach.
The economy of Dubai is mostly depending on its travel and tourism industry because of its excellent and eye-catching infrastructure. The World Expo 2020 will be hosted by Dubai; with an expected visit of 25 Million will already boost the economy of Dubai. There will be more flights, more transportation, more food business, etc. The theme of this Expo is “Connecting Mind, Creating the future”. This will create a change to connect the Middle East region with the entire world. The Expo will bring more changes to investment in Dubai; most of the visitors are planning to invest in Dubai according to the research given by many Business tycoons . This Expo will create thousands of job opportunities for the outsiders.
Dubai is always step-ahead when it comes to innovation and development. Dubai Road and Transportation Authority (RTA) has recently announced a passenger drone as their upcoming project. This will be a great addition to the technology; it will travel up to 50 km with a speed of 150 km per hour by carrying a single person. If they will be successful to make it regular transportation of Dubai, it will reduce road accidents and traffic flow.

Dubai is world-famous for his Architecture and infrastructure, peoples visit there to experience the eye-catching beauty of it. They have announced some of the breathtaking projects in the future like Tower at Dubai Creek Harbor, a stairway ascending 100 meters into the clouds, world tallest Ferris wheel, sea floating restaurants, Ain Dubai, etc. With the success of Expo 2020, UAE will announce the smart city project which makes cities more connected with the world, they will use the internet of things to increase communication, with machines and humans to form a well developed, mobilize and environment-friendly society.
Collectively, there are no boundaries for Dubai what it can become in the future. Dubai was hidden in the sand for a while but the city transformed itself into the gold within a short period of time, and in the future, it will become an ultramodern city with an extremely safe and secure place for living. Many of other nationals have already made Dubai as their home.
*This all indicates that , in future Dubai may grow more and may become one of the parts of the heaven.
